iKnow Chat allows us to set up the chat functionality in the iKnow mobile app. Once activated, we can enable Chat for our Teams, Groups and Circles, we can set up an Entire Church channel, and spin up Custom Chat's for special events. We can also block people from iKnow Chat, if that's needed.
To access the iKnow Chat setup, we will need to go to Settings and click iKnow Chat.
If we haven't already activated iKnow Chat in our iKnow account, we'll need to click the Start my 30 day trial button. This will allow us to make full use of iKnow Chat for 30 days, at no extra cost. If we decide we want to continue using iKnow Chat, we can click the Add iKnow Chat button at any time during the trial.
Chat Settings
For iKnow Chat to appear in our mobile app, we will need to switch on the Enable Chat toggle. We will then be able to switch on the other toggles on the page.
Switching on Allow entire Church chat will create a chat that includes everyone in our iKnow database that has a log in and has downloaded the mobile app to their phone.
Switching on Enable Chat for Teams will allow us to create individual chats for each of our Teams.
Switching on Enable Chat for Groups will allow us to create individual chats for each of our Groups.
Switching on Enable Chat for Circles will allow us to create individual chats for each of our Circles.
