Settings > Checks

In the Checks tab, of the Safeguarding Settings, we can set the levels of DBS we want to record. By default, only the Basic DBS check will be switched on, but we also have the option to switch on Standard DBS Check, Enhanced DBS Check or Enhanced with Barred List(s) DBS Check, by switching on the relevant toggles.

Switching on Enhanced, or Enhanced with Barred List(s) DBS Checks, will allow us to specify the Workforce, or Workforces, that can be applied when we record our Enhanced DBS Checks.

If we need to record more than one DBS Check for anyone, for multiple locations, for example, we will need to switch on the Allow Multiple DBS Checks per Person toggle.

To allow DBS Users to add new people to our DBS Checks, we’ll need to switch on the toggle to Allow DBS Users to Add People within Safeguarding. Any new people that we add through the DBS section of Safeguarding will also be added to People.

If we switch on the option to Allow DBS Users to Edit People within Safeguarding, DBS Users will be able to edit the personal details of those in the DBS list. This will also update their information in the People module.
