The Map App

The Map App in iKnow allows us to see the locations of church buildings, groups and people, that we have recorded in iKnow.

When we access the Map-App, under People, in the menu, it will open on the location we have selected, in the Location Selector, at the top right. The building for that location should be at the centre of the map that comes up. This will be shown using a black marker on the map. If we have any Groups set up for this location, they will be represented by green markers, and any people will be represented by the red markers.

We are able to zoom in and out on the map, using the + and - buttons at the bottom left. We can move around the map by clicking and dragging in the direction we wish to move.

Clicking a black marker, will show the name and address of the church. Clicking any of the green markers, will show the name of the Group and where it is held. Clicking the red markers, will show the address and the names of people that live at that address.

We are able to view the map for multiple locations, if we wish. Simply click the Location Selector at the top right, select the locations we wish to view, and click Apply. The map will now show markers for all of the buildings, Groups and people associated with the locations we selected.
