Risk Assessments

Adding a Risk Assessment to Concerns

Risk Assessments are added to people involved with Concerns.

We can add a Risk Assessment to a person involved with a Concern by going to the Concerns page and clicking the person’s name. Alternatively, we can click the eye button to the right of the Concern that the person is involved with, and then click the arrow button next to their name. We’ll then need to click the Edit Concern button at the top right of the page.

A new Risk Assessment can be added, in the Personal Information section, by clicking the Upload New button, under Risk Assessments.

We can select the Risk Assessment Type, using the dropdown list.

We can then upload the Risk Assessment file, from our hard drive, by clicking the Upload button alongside Upload Risk Assessment, and choosing the file.

If there needs to be a Re-Assessment, we can switch on the Re-Assessment toggle and enter the date the Re-Assessment should take place.

Finally, we can click the Add button to add the Risk Assessment to the person.

Adding a Risk Assessment to DBS

As with Concerns, Risk Assessments in the Checks section are added to people connected to DBS checks.

We can add a Risk Assessment to a person connected to a DBS by going to the Checks page and, in the All Individuals tab, clicking the eye button to the right of the relevant person.

A new Risk Assessment can be added, in the Risk Assessments section, by clicking the Upload New button. The process is then the same as adding a Risk Assessment to a person involved in a Concern.

Editing a Risk Assessment

We can edit a Risk Assessment, in both Concerns and Checks, by clicking the orange pencil button alongside the Risk Assessment.

In the window that comes up we are able to add attachments by clicking the Upload button, and remove them by clicking the red dustbin button.

We can also change the Re-Assessment date, by clicking the existing date and adding a new one, or we can remove the Re-Assessment date by switching off the toggle.

Once we’ve made our changes, we’ll need to click the Save button at the bottom of the window.

The Risk Assessment Tabs

The Risk Assessments Tabs appear on the Concerns page, and on the Checks page.

In both cases, we will be able to see any Risk Assessments that have Re-Assessment dates set.

We will be able to see the name of the person the Risk Assessment is for, the location the Concern or DBS Check is for and the date the Re-Assessment is due. If the Re-assesment date has passed, the date will be shown in red, to show that it is overdue.

If we want to see more information, we can click the eye button on the right. This will open a window that allows us to see the Risk Assessment Type and any uploaded files. We can also View the Concern or DBS that the person is attached to, by clicking the View link.
