Record Attendance for Non-Group Events
As well as recording attendance for our groups events, we can also record our groups attendance at other events in the church, such as Sunday services. We will only be able to do this for events that have been set up to allow attendance to be taken.
When we record attendance for a non-group event, we are only able to record the attendance of the members of our group.
Configuration Settings
Before we can take attendance for non-group events, we will need to allow the option in the iKnow Settings
.
Go to the Settings
module and click the Configuration
option
In the Life Groups
section, make sure the Take Attendance for Selected Church Events
option is ticked. If we have multiple locations and wish to be able to take attendance for events happening in other locations, we’ll need to check the Show Events for All Campuses by Default
option.
Taking Attendance for a non-group event
We can only mark attendance for a non-group event in the group event that follows it. For example, if our Life Group takes place on a Thursday and we want to take attendance for a Sunday service, we will need to wait until the Thursday after the Sunday service to do it.
Attendance is taken in the Groups
module, so we will need to click Groups
to go to the module, click on our Group and then click Attendance
in the top menu. We can then select our group event in the calendar, which will be the Group event after the Sunday service.
In the attendance window, we will see our group event and a list of all our group members. To the right of each name we will see an Events
button. If we click the Events
button, we will see any non-group events we can mark attendance for. If we’d like to see the non-group events for everyone in the list, all at once, we can click the Show All Events
button, at the top of the list.
We can then mark attendance as we would for the regular Group events.
