Add a Metrics Collection Series

Add a Collection Series

To access the metrics module, select the Statistics icon in the menu.

To set up the metrics we would like to use to gather information on Church growth and attendance, click Settings at the top of the page. Click the category, on the left, for which we would like to gather information, and then click the Add Series button.

iKnow can be used to gather information on anything from adult Church attendance to how many vehicles are in the car park each Sunday morning.

We’ll need to choose the relevant category from the dropdown menu, enter the label we would like to use for this category, and click Add. We can add as many categories as we would like. We can also add multiples of the same category and label them differently; for example, if we have multiple services for children.

If we choose a Metric Collection Series from the Spiritual, Miscellaneous, Visitor or Capacity sections, we will be able to choose if figures in these Collection Series will be included in the Attendance Totals in Metrics.  If we want them to be included, we’ll just need to switch on the toggle.

Edit/Delete a Collection Series

We can change a Collection Series that has already been added by clicking the orange pencil button to the right of the Series.  This will allow us to change the label or switch the Include in Attendance toggle on or off.  Once we’ve made any changes, we’ll need to click the green save button.  Any numbers that have been added to this Collection Series will remain.

We can delete a Collection Series by clicking the red dustbin button to the right of the Series and clicking Confirm.  Deleting a Collection Series will also delete any figures added to that Series.

Abacus

Please note that the information will be gathered using the Abacus module. This means that an individual can be given the task of gathering the information without having access to view the metrics themselves. More information on how to use Abacus is available in another video.
