In this video we will show you how to contact and communicate with your small group.
In the dashboard area, you can either select the Groups
icon, or select it from the dropdown menu.
Please be aware that the term ‘LIfe Group’ may be different in your own Church, for example Small Group, or Home Group. The language used within iKnow will be specific to your Church.
On the right-hand side you can see all the members of your group. To communicate with them, simply click on the blue Contact Members
button on the left-hand side. This will open the Communication Suite
, click Simple Email
on the left, you can then fill in the subject line and body as you would with any email, add any relevant Tags
to personalise the email, and use the Send Email
button underneath to send your message.
On the right-hand side you can choose who to include on the email. For example, if you want to send an email reminding the group that Carol Jones’ birthday is coming up and you don’t want Carol to see the email, you can click the red X next to her name to remove her from the mailing list for this specific email.
Depending on the permissions you have been given, you may be able to send SMS, download a CSV or send Letters, as well as sending emails.
You can also communicate with members by clicking on View People
. This will show you more details for the individuals in your group. If you want to contact someone directly, you can click on their name on the left-hand side, which will bring up their details. Any contact information which has been entered into iKnow will be visible to you here, as long as the Admin Group
you are in allows you to view them.
You can also contact the entire group from within this area by clicking the blue Contact
button on the left-hand side.
When you send an email from within iKnow, the sending address will appear to the recipient as the email address that you have used to log in to iKnow. This means that the email will appear to the recipient as having come straight from you, and any reply they send will also come directly to that email address and appear in your regular inbox.
