Contacting a Group
When we click a Group, under My Groups
, on the right-hand side we can see all the members of our group. To communicate with them, we simply need to click on the blue Contact Members
button on the left-hand side. This will open the Communication Suite
, we can then click Simple Email
on the right, then fill in the subject line and body as we would with any email, add any relevant Tags
to personalise the email, and use the Send Email
button underneath, to send our message.
On the left hand side, we can choose who to include on the email. For example, if we want to send an email reminding the group that somebody has a birthday coming up, and we don’t want them to see the email, we can click the red X next to their name, to remove them from the mailing list for this specific email.
Depending on the permissions we have been given, we may be able to send SMS, download a CSV or send Letters, as well as sending emails.
We can also communicate with members by clicking on View People
. This will show us more details for the individuals in our group. If we want to contact someone directly, we can click on their name on the left-hand side, which will bring up their details. Any contact information which has been entered into iKnow will be visible to us here, as long as the Admin Group
we are in allows us to view them.
We can also contact the entire group from within this area by clicking the blue Contact Your Group
button, on the left-hand side.
When we send an email from within iKnow, the reply address will be the email address that we have used to log in to iKnow. This means that any reply they send, will come directly to that email address and appear in our regular inbox. We will not need to log in to iKnow to access any replies
